Did a little research, the only confirmed upgrades seemed to be the T9300 and T9500 if you want Mojave compatibility. Seller didn't want to pay for shipping back and have to try to relist it, so I got it for almost nothing. A little backstory on this project : I ordered an iMac 9,1 2009 model off eBay. The command line version of NVEnc supports transcoding, but the application also comes as a plugin for Avi utl. NVEnc also brings to the table cuvid decoding capabilities, as well as muxing and demuxing functionality, based on libavformat and high-performance filtering. You can also define the number of consecutive B frames and choose specific output formats for the resulting file and the encoded audio. For instance, NVEnc enables you to set the output codec and the encoder preset and there are various other parameters to deal with here. There are various configuration options that you can tamper with. ![]() It performs conversions to raw H.264/AVC or H.265/HEVC and allows interlaced encoding. ![]() ![]() If the input is in raw format, the FPS rate and the input resolution have to be specified. The encoder supports the following file types as input : AVI, AVS, raw YU V, Y4M, VPY. The application can verify the available GPU, codecs, audio encoders and decoders, formats and protocols. Running in the Windows console only, NVEnc comes with a plethora of functions, each explained when running the application with no arguments. NVEnc is a standalone console application that can be used for evaluating the performance of the HW encoder on a Windows computer equipped with an NVIDIA graphics card (GeForce Kepler gen or later, GT / GTX 6xx or later). ![]()
